Dreams Come True
I slowly walked down the pathway to the ceremony. My veil flowed behind me and my dress swished as I walked. It was surreal. All of my dreams were coming true!
Then I saw him. Jason Alexander Woodman. Looking as handsome as ever, and waiting patiently for me to walk down the aisle.
I instantly teared up. I was about to marry the love of my life! I had waited so many years for this moment. Here began a new chapter in my life.
Everyone stood as I began my walk down the aisle. I saw my dear friends and sisters and family. They were smiling their biggest smiles with tears running down their faces.
I finally reached Jason and turned toward Carrie.
I handed her my bouquet of gorgeous flowers and turned back to my Jason.
We joined hands.
I couldn't stop smiling. Jason couldn't stop smiling. I gazed into his deep blue eyes and saw tears brimming them.
"You look amazing Caroline!" Jason whispered to me.
We turned toward the pastor. "Friends, we are gathered together in the sight of God to witness and bless the joining together of Jason Alexander Woodman and Caroline Elizabeth Abbot in marriage. Jason and Caroline come to give themselves to one another in this holy covenant."
He turned towards me. "Caroline, will you have Jason to be your husband, to live together in holy marriage? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?"
"I will," I answered.
"Jason, will you have Caroline to be your wife, to live together in holy marriage? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?"
Jason turned to me and started into his vows tearfully.
"I, Jason, take you, Caroline, to be my wife, To have and to hold from this day forward, For better, for worse, For richer, for poorer, In sickness and in health, To love and to cherish, Until death do us part."
""I, Caroline, take you, Jason, to be my husband, To have and to hold from this day forward, For better, for worse, For richer, for poorer, In sickness and in health, To love and to cherish, Until death do us part."
I barely heard the pastor as we exchanged rings. Ever since my childhood, I had waited for this moment. It was here, and was way more amazing than I had ever imagined! Ths birds were chirping and the sun was streaming down on top of us. The mountains rose up in front of us and the river lazily drifted by. I thanked God for all of his innumerable blessings.
"You have declared your consent and vows before God and this congregation. May God confirm your covenant and fill you both with grace. Now that Jason and Caroline have given themselves to each other by solemn vows, with the joining of hands, and the giving and receiving of rings, I announce to you that they are husband and wife; In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Those whom God has joined together, let no one put asunder."
Jason drew me into a hug with his strong arms. "I love you so much," he whispered.
Our guests stood up and cheered and clapped. Especially Margeret and Katherine!
The pastor then turned to the audience.
"I now have the great pleasure of introducing you for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Woodman!"
